Why do I need a 3D model?

A 3D model defines the shape and specifications of your part, allowing us to accurately quote and manufacture it. If you don't have one yet – our team can help you create a model from sketches, ideas, or even physical parts.

How much does CAD drafting cost?

Our CAD services start at $99. We charge per project, not by the hour – if it takes longer, that's on us. For more info, visit our CAD services page.

How quickly fast can a CAD model be drafted?

We can draft most CAD projects within 2–4 business days. If you need a quicker turnaround, expedited options may be available.

Can you create a CAD model from a sketch?

Absolutely! Sketches from different views with key measurements will help us deliver the most accurate 3D model and quote. You can start your CAD quote here.

Can you edit an existing 3D model?

Yes, we can edit files in .STEP, .STP, and .OBJ formats (STEP AP242, AP204, and AP214 supported). For other file types, reach out and we will do our best to assist.

Can you reverse engineer or recreate physical parts, even if they are damaged?

Yes! We can reverse engineer most parts. Depending on the condition and complexity, we can often reconstruct the original design. Submit your CAD RFQ to get started.

Do you offer 3D scanning?

Yes. We provide 3D scanning services tailored to your part's surface and color.

Do you offer Design for Manufacturing (DFM) services?

Yes! Our DFM services can help optimize your model for additive and subtractive manufacturing – reducing cycle times, improving consistency, and increasing production yields, ultimately lowering final costs.

Do I own the CAD model once it's drafted?

Yes. Once the 3D model is complete, you own it!

Can you provide production-ready drawings?

Yes! Standard reference drawings are included with all CAD drafting orders. Drafting of detailed, production-ready drawings incorporating full GD&T annotations are available at a flat rate of $150 per drawing.

What is 3D printing?

3D printing, also known as Additive Manufacturing (AM), is a process that creates parts by adding material on a build surface. Unlike traditional subtractive methods such as CNC milling that cut away stock material, 3D printing adds material only where needed—significantly reducing waste. This makes it an efficient choice for prototyping, custom parts, and low-volume production, especially when material usage and sustainability matter.

How much does 3D printing cost?

Costs vary by specific process, material, size, complexity, etc. For an instant quote, use our Auto-Quoter. New customers receive a 20% welcome discount upon creating an account.

How fast can you make parts?

Our standard lead time is generally a few business days, depending on order volumes. With expedited production, we move your project to the front of the queue and lead times can be as quick as one business day. When Auto-Quoting, pricing of standard and expedited lead times will be shown.

What do the three quoting tiers: Standard, Quality, and Premium mean?

We offer three optimized print tiers: Standard, Quality, and Premium. Each with a different level of strength (infill), speed, and resolution to help fit any budget. Reach out if you don't know what to choose or need a custom profile.

What file types can be quoted?

Our Auto-Quoter accepts: .STL, .STEP, .STP, .3MF, and .AMF. For other formats, submit a manual quote to get started.

Can I order just one part?

Yes. We accept all orders, even just one (1) unit. However, we do have a $30 minimum per order, before coupons, to cover basic costs. Per-part discount pricing starts at just two units.

Do you offer a student/edu discount?

Yes! Students, faculty, or anyone with an .edu email can sign up for an account and receive a 10% discount on all orders. Additionally, this stacks with your new customer discount, meaning you can get up to 30% off your first 3D printing order!

Do you offer volume-based discounts?

Yes. We offer volume discounts starting at just two units. Discounts are automatically applied based on quantity.

I don't know what material to choose.

Visit our Materials Page for specs and details. You can always contact us with questions via email and phone.

What are the maximum 3D printing dimensions you offer?

While we can quote 910mm x 910mm x 910mm (~36′′ x 36" x 36") manually, our Auto-Quoter currently supports up to 360mm x 360mm x 360mm (~14" x 14" x 14"). For larger parts, request a manual quote

Are uploads to the Auto-Quoter secure?

Yes, all files are encrypted and governed by our privacy policy If you want an NDA, click here
